From November 2001 to January 2002, Administrative Technology Services, AIT, and other university departments and offices participated in an "Exchange 2000 Active Directory Design Project" with Microsoft Consulting Services. The objective of this group was to find the best enterprise design for Iowa State University.
The Functional Specification is the final result of that effort. This document outlines the enterprise model we hope to move toward. This document should be considered a framework that provides best practices as we move forward in implementation of Exchange at Iowa State University. Several other documents are also available that may be more valuable for initial information.
